The object of the game is to end up with all cards on the four foundations (labeled A, B, C, and D). The top card of any of the 8 "tableau" piles (labeled 1 through 8) is available to be moved. On any of these piles, you build downward in rank ignoring suit. (For example, you can move any Jack onto any Queen - suit does not matter on either the Queen or Jack) . On the foundation piles, labeled A through D, you build upward in suit from the Ace through the King. (For example, you must first play an ACE OF DIAMONDS on the foundation pile labeled "A".
